As Japan is attempting to change employee
and management expectations regarding productivity and employment, educational
institutions and professional associations have become extremely interested in
how to develop and evaluate training that will increase productivity. This
invited keynote presentation was presented at the SANNO University’s
SANNO Institute of Management Seminar and at the Japanese Association of
Administrative Science Academic Workshop. It outlines the conceptual basis for
performance based training and evaluation and provides detailed procedures for
developing them.
